Dotremont is an international Secretary for CoBrA-Bewegung,Organisator,Theoretiker,Chefredakteur der 1949 erstmalig erschienenen Zeitschrift   Cobra.Bulletin pour la Coordination of the Investigations of artistiques, Lien Souple of the Groupes Experimentaux Danois (Host), Belge (Surrealiste Revolutionnaire), Hollandais (reflex) .Anläßlich der ersten Cobra-Ausstellung Reise mit Asger Jorn nach Dänemark. Kontakt dort mit der Host-Gruppe und lernt dort eine Dänin kennen,die zur zentralen Bezugsperson in seiner Dichtung wird.
